DELAWARE VALLEY / PHILADELPHIA CHAPTER PORTS OF PHILADELPHIA MARITIME SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT

Established in 1935, the Ports of Philadelphia Maritime Society (POPMS) aids and assists the development of the Port of Philadelphia and its maritime community. Over $400,000 has been raised for the POPMS Maritime Scholarship Program since 2012. Six scholarships of $2,500 each were awarded in 2023.

Del-Val Philadelphia 13 th Annual Holiday Party On December 20, 2022, the Del-Val Philadelphia Chapter hosted 88 attendees at their 13th Annual holiday party. Guests included alumni from SUNY Maritime and other state maritime academies, local industry leaders, USCG Academy graduates, leaders from Philadelphia’s Maritime Academy Charter School, and a German shipyard visitor.
