In October 2022, Joseph Lorino ’87 was recognized by business journal NJBIZ among 2022 Leaders in Real Estate, Construction and Design. In a press release, Audrey Meyers, President and CEO of Valley Health System, lauded Joe for his leadership and guidance in ensuring that the facility’s architectural, engineering and construction plans would fulfill Valley’s goals. On November 12, 2022 Michael Paturas ’13 (who serves on the board of directors of the Maritime College Alumni Association) found himself in the company of several alumni while visiting classmate and FDNY fireman Brendan Lee ’13, stationed with Engine Company 33 in the NoHo neighborhood of lower Manhattan. Paul Zinger '05, Matt Dohery '81, Brian Gilcher '80 encounter each other at a Laser Regatta in Florida during early March. Zinger met Gilcher at the same event in 2020 and this year saw Dohery’s wife wearing a Maritime College hat. She introduced her husband, Brian, to his two fellow alumni.
