Homecoming 2022 – MCAA
A balmy autumn sun stove off the chill of a fresh maritime breeze from Long Island Sound on Homecoming Day, Saturday, October 28, 2022. And without fail, the community of SUNY Maritime Alumni and Friends served to warm spirits even more. With Class Years ’-Two and ’-Seven observing reunions and, likely, the practice of a timely morning reveille still prevalent in the constitution of many alumni, the Lot 5 tailgater’s zone was alive with activity early in the day. The Maritime College Alumni Association kiosk was abuzz with a hearty group of alumni sharing their experiences and the benefits of Association membership. At its Annual General Meeting, MCAA President Kevin Danko ’95 shared the status of Association affairs, and ongoing outreach effort through Summer Sea Term scholarship funding was discussed. Generosity of alumni was roundly thanked with nearly a half million dollars in alumni donations through the past year. Following the Privateers’ 30-to-19 win over Dean College on Reinhart Field, the revelry continued with Class reunions, tailgate tales and Homecoming 2022 closed out with refreshments at Paddy’s On the Bay. Take part in Homecoming 2023, October 27-28! Stay in touch with MCAA and SUNY Maritime College for an upcoming schedule of events.
